Jenny’s done it again.

Today, we look at an absolutely stunning gown (Look #35) from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2013 collection. Outside from the model’s lackluster hair, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this ensemble at all — it is beautiful!

What I love:

Where to start? I love everything, from the gorgeous shade of blue to the designer’s selection of fabrics (if I am not mistaken, I spy satin under a layer of blue tulle). The net effect is a shade of blue that has depth and a little bit of shine, and it works well here.

What I do not like:

I am underwhelmed by the hair. Really? This is the best that the stylist could do for a runway show? I also think some jewelry (a necklace of some variety — perhaps with some sparkle) would not have been amiss here. Finally, what exactly is going on with the fabric around the shoulders? Do I see… sequins? 😮 They’re not a deal breaker, but I’m not exactly a sequins kind of gal.

What I would change:

I would probably go a little Kate Middleton with the hair — loose waves that frame the face. I would also jazz up the makeup a bit, too. Nothing too dramatic, but something to warm up the model;’s complexion. Finally, I would add a simple pendant in a contrasting color; I like the idea of something in jade or emerald, for instance.

My overall score: 💃🏾 (Really, what’s not to like here? Well played, Ms. Packham)
